Rockstar Storytellers finish 4th season with a best-of show

This Sunday, the Rockstar Storytellers are closing out their fourth season of performances with a season greatest hits finalle show, called Rockstar Storytellers: The Best of the S#!t We Did. (This is in flagrant defiance of the point I made just a few days ago, but we’ll let it slide because they’re funny.) The Rockstar Storytellers have had more seasons than Firefly, Arrested Development, the Addams Family, or The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. Good for them.

The show is also being co-hosted by Guffaw contributor (one two three four!) Courtney McLean and features a last minute guest addition of Guffaw contributor Mike Fotis (just one). You may as well go up to the performers after the show and say “Hey I think it’s a great that you do all this work on behalf of Guffaw.”

Perhaps equally happening, they are welcoming some extra cast members, Rob Callahan and Guffaw contributor (here and here and here) Maggie Ryan Sandford next season, which is also known—in this writer’s heart, anyway—as, Season Five: Take That, Battlestar Galactica!

In preparation for their performance, and Mr. Callahan’s debeut next season, here he is with storyteller Allegra, saying some exceptionally funny things, often with a bell chiming.

Rockstar Storytellers: The Best of the S#!t We Did can be seen at the Bryant Lake Bowl this Sunday, July 24, at 7 pm. Tickets are $12 or $10 with a fringe button. If you can manage to invent a teleportation device you can either earn enough money to cover everyone’s tickets or get in for free yourself, sneakily.

Rockstar Storytellers’ fifth season starts in October, and will include all new stories based on a different theme each show, plus those two people I said.
